Daniel Garcia started AreOnus in 2004 as a Senior Property Tax Consultant, business leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience driving performance improvement in global organizations. Daniel possesses over a decade of multi-state property tax experience.

He began his property tax career with a Deputy Tax Assessor/Collector for several municipal utility districts in Harris County, Texas. Next, he spent 5 years with the Harris County Appraisal District where he held several progressively responsible and challenging roles that enabled him to develop an expertise in real, business personal and leased property appraisals and valuations, partial and total exemptions, tax abatements and correction motions. His responsibilities included representing the appraisal district's position in all associated equalization/protest hearings.

While with Halliburton & Hess, Daniel's responsibilities included optimization, automation and management of the Global Tax organizations’ business processes and technology projects and solutions. While with Andersen and Deloitte, Daniel was the Leader of the Houston Tax Technology Consulting organization where he was responsible for consulting, developing and supporting Federal, International and Local tax business process and technology solutions.

Daniel also managed Sales & Use Tax Automation projects while with Grant Thornton.

Having this extensive appraisal district, industry and consulting experience enhances his ability to successfully negotiate lower appraised values for his clients.
